After you have signed up to Roofnet, you will be given a mutually convenient installation date by one of our customer friendly representative.

QUALIFYING FACTORS FOR ROOFNET'S WIRELESS SERVICE

A Qualifying Location
You need to be located in an area where we offer our service and close enough to our tower to receive a clear signal. Generally, you need to be within sight of our transmission tower and have a clear or near clear line of sight to the tower. Our Installation Technician will verify that you have appropriate signal strength upon arriving on your premise.

An Ethernet Friendly Environment
We conclude the installation process on an Ethernet jack on your computer. Your computer be equipped with an Ethernet interface/port or a router/ Hub that is Ethernet friendly.

A Compatible Computer Operating System
Another requirement is an operating system that supports Ethernet and has the TCP/IP software component installed. Our service is compatible with Windows 95, 98, Me, 2000 and XP as well as any Linux and Unix operating systems that support Ethernet.

THE STAGES
1. After confirming date and time by one of our representatives, Our installation technician will site the receiver box at roof level and check that a signal can be received. If signal tests are successful the receiver would be mounted and the cable will be fastened in place.

2. The cable (CAT 5) is fed into your home or business to a room or office of your choice and then connected to your Ethernet card in your P.C by RJ45 jacks. Please note that our engineers will only connect one PC to the system, network systems can be configured at an additional cost.

3. The technician will then configure the PC to use the system.

4. If your computer is not equipped with a Network card, Roofnet would supply and Install one for you at a minimal cost.
